CICADA MANAGES THIRD DIRECTOR OF THE YEAR AWARDS
Scilla and I have been working towards the big night since last autumn, ensuring everything was in place at the venue, securing the event host Christine Talbot of ITV Yorkshire's Calendar programme, and organising the script and programme for the evening.
The sell-out black tie event for over 400 directors and business leaders in the region was a huge success - awards were given in eight categories including Young Director of the Year, Enterpreneur of the Year, and Overall Yorkshire & Humber Director of the Year 2007.
The evening also featured entertainment from musical quartet String Fever, and a charity raffle drawn by celebrity chef Raymond Blanc.
The Cicada girls were out in force - five of us attended to ensure the event ran smoothly, and we all headed to the after-party at the Queens Hotel for a much needed night-cap!
