As the festive season fast approaches (how did that happen by the way?) life here at Cicada really is busier than ever, with a jam-packed calendar of events to plan and look forward to.

Firstly, Friday 23 November sees the official launch of the elegant but homely Grille Restaurant in Harrogate, home of fantastic winter warmers such as chicken and mushroom pie, and bangers and mash. We’re anticipating a great turnout for this housewarming party, where guests will enjoy scrumptious food, along with seasonal cocktails and champagne.

Less than a week later, on Thursday 29 November, we’ll be racing over to DriveStyle at Hornbeam Park in Harrogate. Having enjoyed three hugely successful years out in front, the sports car specialist will shortly be stocking Lotus. We’re planning a fun motor-racing themed party, where we can contemplate trading in our crumbling run-arounds for shiny new sports cars!

On Thursday 6 December we will be celebrating the opening of the UK’s largest stone showroom and distribution facility. Our client, Lapicida Stone Production, has relocated from its current site just north of Harrogate to a vast three-acre site at the St James Retail Park in Knaresborough.

This luxurious 32,000 square foot facility has to be seen to be believed, featuring a striking barrel-vaulted ceiling, and stocking an unparalleled range of stone from around the world, both for the home and for commercial premises.

Finally, (phew!) on Monday 10 December we will be launching MFI’s new national distribution centre near Doncaster, the largest of its kind in the UK. The event will bring together senior business people, MPs and the regional media to celebrate the opening of the facility which will create more than 330 jobs in the region.

And that takes us (almost) up to Christmas, when at last we will be able to put our feet up, fall asleep, and no doubt dream of organising another flurry of events in 2008!
