Visitors will be treated to a stroll around its stunning gardens followed by scrumptious sandwiches and scones.
Newby’s 2025 season is packed with a host of events which run as the house and its breath-taking gardens and exhibitions welcome back visitors, promising a full day out. It’s adventure playground, miniature railway and boat trips are a big draw among families.
Other attractions include Newby’s ever popular sculpture trail, returning for its 19th year. The trail takes visitors on a wonderful journey through the woodlands, orchard and along the River Ure, showcasing a diverse collection of contemporary sculptures.
Newby’s calendar of events includes children’s theatre performances while Easter weekend (18 to 21 April) is dedicated to a magical kingdom adventure trail where families can enjoy a journey through the woodland and meet the king and queen of the fairies.
Another 19th anniversary will be marked when Tractor Fest rolls up at Newby on 7 and 8 June. The UK’s largest tractor festival attracts over 1,600 exhibits as well as in excess of 12,000 visitors. This year’s highlights include two celebrations – 100 years of the American Caterpillar brand and 80 years of the Fordson E27N tractor.
Other vehicle themed events include Sports Cars in the Park on 4 May and the Historic Vehicle Rally on 20 July.
Returning on 27 July is the Aldborough & Boroughbridge Show, a favourite in North Yorkshire’s rural shows calendar. A month later, the fireworks championships will be held on 23 August when the skies will light up over Newby as friends and families enjoy picnics in the park.
Closing the curtain on Newby’s 2025 season will be the World Jam Festival and Awards along with apple day and the apple throwing championships on 28 September when contenders seek to throw an apple the furthest across the River Ure to win the prestigious title and trophy.
