The countdown is on for this weekend’s biggest ever Tractor Fest at Newby Hall & Gardens and the culmination of the PR and media relations strategy that we devised and managed on the organiser’s behalf.

We have worked with Newby and show organiser Yorkshire Vintage Association for the past ten years and the show has grown to be the UK’s biggest tractor show.

Hundreds of vintage tractor and engine enthusiasts are gearing up for the biggest ever Tractor Fest on 8 and 9 June.

More than 2,000 exhibits have been entered for the two-day show including vintage and modern tractors, stationary engines, commercial vehicles, cars, trucks and motorcycles.

Tractor Fest will also be marking the 80th anniversary of D-Day landings. Joining the tribute to the armed forces and Ripon’s military heritage will be Ripon Community Poppy Project’s life-sized knitted tank which was 10 months in the making and is based on a Churchill AVRE tank used in the D-Day landings.

This year’s Tractor Fest themes include a celebration of orange tractors. Models from manufacturers including Allis Chalmers and Fordson will be on display to showcase the number of vintage tractors which feature the colour orange.

Tractor Fest will also showcase harvesting and threshing machinery and an exhibition of vintage and modern European cars. The show will also feature displays from specialist marque clubs and working vintage machinery.

A host of entertainment, crafts, food and drink make Tractor Fest a great family day out. Admission includes access to Newby’s award-winning gardens, adventure playground, dolls house and teddy bear exhibitions.
Other fun activities for families over the weekend include mini tractor driving, face painting, colouring and interactive exhibits.

Tractor Fest is sponsored by Europe’s leading agricultural and machinery auctioneer Cheffins Auctioneers and Estate Agents Econ Engineering Ltd. The show is also supported by Ripon Farm Services Ltd
