Harrogate-based and Cicada client Joe Manby Limited is supplying event services for the prestigious UCI Road World Championships, one of the world’s biggest sporting events which takes place in the town from 21-29 September.
Working on behalf of organisers Yorkshire 2019, Joe Manby Limited is supplying electrical, walling and carpeting services for the international media centre being hosted at Harrogate Convention Centre over a two week period, as well as creating office space for support staff and staging services at the auditorium for the UCI’s Annual Congress.
Staged over eight days from 22 September, the Championships feature races for men, women and juniors and will be preceded by a unique para-cycling event on 21 September. Around 1,400 competitors from 90 different countries will take part, along with support teams, media, volunteers and spectators.
Harrogate has a reputation for hosting successful global events, the opening stage of the Tour de France in 2014 was held in the town, and is home to former World, Commonwealth and National road race champion, Lizzie Deignan.
