Cicada is off to a great start with three new business wins already this year.

We’ve been appointed by specialist bespoke cycling company Iconic Cycling Events (ICE) to develop a strategic communication and social media campaign for three of its cycling sportives being staged at Oxford, Chester and Bath.

The rides are championed by Redrow Homes and raise money for local charities. We will work with ICE to raise the profile of each ride to encourage sponsorship and support from local food producers and cyclists.

We are also managing an integrated communications campaign for the Carter Jonas LandAid Pedalthon. The annual charity bike ride for the business community is now in its fifth year and takes place on 11 May.

The ride is championed by the Theakston Brewery and will involve some of Yorkshire’s best food and drink producers brought on board by Cicada.

We’ve also been appointed to manage media relations for some of the highlights of Newby Hall’s 2018 event programme.

These include a high-profile appearance at Newby, Ripon by Children’s Laureate Lauren Child, the author of the Charlie and Lola series, and Newby’s annual Tractor Fest which is organised by the Yorkshire Vintage Association.

Cicada will also be helping to showcase Newby’s involvement in the 300th anniversary of Thomas Chippendale. Newby is joining with other historic houses in Yorkshire to celebrate the work of the famous cabinet maker and furniture designer.

Our director Jane Chamberlain said: “Our full service approach to supporting businesses and organisations has resulted in some significant PR, media relations and digital wins this year which provides us with great momentum upon which to build throughout 2018.”
